Job function | Management and supervision of the personnel working within the maintenance section |
Supervisory duties | Management and supervision the shift leaders, engineers, technician and workers, who are employed within the maintenance section as well as any temporary personnel within this section Deputy of Section manager in his absence. Review and participate in the recruitment process Planning and scheduling of routine maintenance task in his section. |
Main duties | Responsibility for the technically correct condition and the timely availability of all components, which form part of the maintenance section Networking between the various maintenance and operation departments to manage scheduled maintenance tasks Conducting internal meetings within the maintenance section Co-ordination of the interfaces between the other maintenance sections Responsibility for appropriate actions in the event of incidents within the maintenance section Specifies the requirements for the recruitment of personnel in co-operation with the human resources manager and suggests training programs for the staff under his management Optimization of maintenance tasks as result of ongoing analysis Checking of inspection results and deciding on appropriate actions Analysing of the maintenance history for the related equipment and facilities Responsible for the reporting system to ensure the availability of sufficient and suitable spare parts for his area of supervision Carry out competency assessment for team. Ensure tracking & mainain adequate stock level for spare parts and tools availability. Coordination for spare repairs with factory or OEM. Delerving the necessary technical trainings to team members required for their competecnies related to work. Responsible for the speedy availability of suitable manpower, adequate tools and materials in events of incidents |
Proficiency (education, experience) | Has a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate technical field and ten years of work experience or 15 years of experiance on similar responsibility in transport industry. Has three years of experience in the field of administration, project management skills and desirable in the public transportation business Has two years of experience in a managerial role |
